Welcome to a new devlog for Assembly RTS, the physics-based real-time strategy game!
Hi everyone, this is going to be a super short devlog.
This week I fixed some bugs and did minor visual adjustments to visual effects.
Most importantly I created the first preview trailer for the game 🥳 Watch the trailer here!
Trailer feedback
I received a lot of very good and constructive feedback on the trailer on various Discord servers and I'm very grateful for that.
I'm sure the next trailer will be much better because of all the great input I received.

How to make a better trailer next time
Here are some important things I noted down for future trailers based on the feedback I received:
Here I summarized some important things I learned about how to improve a trailer, regardless of the game showcased:
- Clearly separate sections into different feature showcases without jumping around
- A music track that closely resembles the in-game mood is preferable
- A voice over can be good for explaining what the game will be like
- Add text to the video to emphasize features
- Utilize better cinematography
