The is no reason to not give a 10 out of 10 to this magnific masterpiece, seriously! The game picks up everything that was missed on the Penumbra series and added it with all the strengh. The atmosphere is memorable and the scares never gets old! The story is really confusing, what breaks a lot of immersion (I have to say that the plot in A Machine for Pigs is really better but it still doesn't have the magic from TDD).

The Water Monster, the Grunt, the Brute, the Shadow, all the monster are very well explained and plus, it's very well detailed and appears very much in the game. The models and assets are very well designed and modelled. The same with the level design a.k.a mapping, that is absolutely incredible! The lengh is what makes me sad, and sometimes, the fact that it's really easy to stop been scary on the game, if you really want, because of the buggy checkpoints mechanic, that allow you to pass everything without seeing the monster if you died in your first try.

I would have changed that. Maybe in Soma they can correct this, that have been done too in Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs
