what does it "change"exactly?
When Daniel is frightened or going insane, whatever, you will hear crunching sounds. They are supposed to be grinding teeth (or so everyone assumes), but as ThePooptickler puts it sounds like potato chips. This changes it to sound more like grinding teeth. My only complaint is the quality; listen to files individually and you'll know what I mean.
It's worth noting that according to the devs the sound isn't teeth grinding: Frictionalgames.com
Why not just let it be updated through steam? Or is it just a preference sound?
The sound isn't grinding teeth at all. ;) By that fact this mod is pointless. The sound is much different than that.
