I'm guessing all you did was extrude a face right?...
It's a little high poly for a "box" :P
You can't really expect to get smooth shading on a blocky model like this.
At the bare minimum you should make at least one loop cut through the middle of the gun and scale that up a bit.
And I am hoping that you aren't using the default 32 vertices for each circle in that barrel. UW doesn't even use that many for our gun barrels. I would suggest using 8-12.
