Acaratus is a turn based, tactical arena game for PC. Each player commands giant steam-powered mechs with different skills and abilities. The game will be played as a competitive online sport on interactive arenas and have an emphasis on tactical manoeuvring and character management. The game will boast a large selection of various mechs and offer you to level up your favourite ones with new attributes and buy new gear. Hangar is a room that displays your mechs and you can decorate it by buying new furniture, podiums and share your Hangar with other players. You will also be able to buy trinkets and gear for your mechs to enhance your visual experience in Acaratus and no, there is no pay2win in this game. Here is a small selection of what we have so far, It's taken from our site-blog where we post all progress. Programming will be up later when we have something more to show. We do stream progress on twitch too so more info on that later.
The artstyle is planned to be very simple (but pritty) with only diffuse , spec and glow maps to be used in the shading + some post effects. There is still lots to do but for a small team like us it goes forward really fast.
