Developed and headed by the professional cartoonist and illustrator ENTE, PadWorld Entertainment, the Team behind World of Padman (WoP) proudly present a free multiplayer standalone game for Windows, MacOSX and Linux that's powered by an extended Quake3-Engine based on the source of ioquake3.
WoP is the domain of ENTE's comic strip super-hero bad-boy Padman and his motley crew, and their mission is to make your game with some seriously addictive fun, whatever your skill level, and whatever character role you jump into.
Over the years maps have been revamped, bot play improved, killer-ducks kept hungry, weapons repolished, menu's redesigned, and much more, such as new sounds, skins, secrets, effects, and power-ups! In all, there are 13 maps. Each supports up to 7 game types, comprising WoP's unique Spray Your Color Free For All (SYC FFA), Spray Your Color Team Play (SYC TP), Last Pad Standing (LPS), and of course Big Balloon (BB), as well as those old favourites Death Match, Team Death Match, and Tourney. Meet scaled-up and richly detailed maps of everyday places where imaginative characters go berserk with an array of colourful plastic weaponry and power-ups and start rockin' to the Dieselkopf soundtrack, and the Pad-Anthem performed by Green Sun; so grab those earphones.

One year has pasted since we fed you the "World of Padman" standalone on April first 2007. We thought that we had to write something, but what? Lots has already been written. We told you how well the players received WoP and we've reported just about everything. There's nothing we could still tell you, not that ...
Well, maybe there is still something interesting to report ... maybe. Why for example haven't we implemented a single player yet? Why did we back off new game types and why are we working in quiet chambers like fools and let nothing escape to the outside world? Why isn't there any big internal news any more? What is really happening behind the barred doors of the Padworld?
Well this secret we can't disclose at this moment, sorry, but we leave you some news that we are busy on something.... Just because the WoP-team is keeping silent, it isn't because there sleeping, quite the contrary. We would like to thank you for a really fantastic year. It was lots of fun. We would be pleased if you are on our side for the upcoming second WoP-year and we look forward to have much more fun with the game. Your WoP-Team

Please add this game to ubuntu's add/remove system, i can find other games like nexuiz but couldnt find this game in there, adding it there will get you guys many more players for this awesome game..

This game looks really good, but it's sort of like a deathmatch game, right?
I don't really like deathmatches... they don't really make me feel good, I like games that are sort of realistic (like counter strike, with recoils and stuff. Recoils are really good)
Anyways, this game looks really nice, too bad it didn't win any awards (how come? I expected this to be #1...)

No! World of Padman is a full standalone game. Download the standalone (v1.1) and the patch (v1.2) and don't forget to grap ENTE's PadPack for additional maps.
