The world has plunged into chaos, experimentation with a man made virus went wrong one day slowly infecting the world turning almost every living being into some mutated beast, the government sent the most important people into space with experimental cloning equipment and a selected amount of DNA. The idea was to hopefully return to earth with an army, eradicate this virus and re-populate the earth. Shortly after we left earth fell silent, we have no idea whats down there marine and its your job to find out.

For a semi futuristic weapon, the wooden handler seems off place to me, should be synthetic or something else, not bad gun anyway :)

For this gun, I would choose the name something like: ISW "Austin". ISW stands for Infantry Support Weapon, because it more looks like support weapon for me, then direct-combat assault rifle. And the name Austin comes from the Australian submachine gun, which is called Austen, I think it sounds kinda cool :P Also better would be ISW-1 or -2, since the weapon model looks new and original, and it might be the first of its kind.
yea single shot rifle was what i was going for the idea was something like a shot gun but more accurate and didnt spray everywhere, was just as powerful as a shot gun but was able to still do that damage at medium to long range, thoughts?
Yes, that's what I had in mind. I'll post more ideas about weapon names today.
