Hi!

I'm a writer looking for an opportunity to help out. I don't currently have any experience writing for the indie gaming community (most of my previous work has involved short stories), but I'm eager to help out in any way I can, even just in terms of editing. I'm particularly interested in worldbuilding and background information for a setting.

Thanks! Let me know if you're interested

Why? There is nothing stopping you, a writer, from... writing. If you are looking for collaborative work of any kind then it's best to stick to fellow writers, you won't learn from indie games.

What writers come off as are idea guys, who would happily participate by giving their ideas to be created by people with mere practical skills.

I am the gatekeeper, you must overcome me.

Answer, somonels: because short stories don't make a lot of money, and don't look as enticing to video game publishers as actual video game writing experience would. And while I have the javascript skills necessary to produce a rather primitive javascript game, I believe I can benefit from the experience of producing a game with a group--and will gain more from doing so than producing a game on my own would provide. In return, I am willing to work on the nitty-gritty encyclopedic aspects and writeups that most other people don't believe they have time for.

You're really not so much a gatekeeper as a troll.
