Wisdom Teeth Thread

Mine are just coming through, thoughts and opinions on getting them removed.

Aimed at the older view, not you chis.

i got mine removed two years ago so they wouldnt have to do any real hard work on them...

i would get them removed, since they are so far back they are very difficult to clean, and usually end up getting removed anyway

My wisdom teeth came in just fine, not everyone has to have them removed. PF is right, they are a pain to get the toothbrush around, but I hate having any sort of work done on me that involves removing things that belong in my body, so I'm not the greatest advice. If they don't cause a problem for you, I wouldn't worry about it.

Does it hurt when they get pulled or what? do they give em back to you?

I personally hope I don't have to get mine pulled. Not that I would really know which of my teeth are the wise ones. are the the molars in the very back or what?

well you have to go to an oral surgeon to get them out

Mine are huge, the size of 2 normal backteeth :o

HOY... i have teeth ... i dont think i got my wisdom ones , i cant even remember when i lost my last tooth

Mine are kinda at an angle (They call it "Inverted" or something) so they are pressing forward on my other teeth. im probably gonna have to get them out.

I have a really weird tooth thing, if I sleep on an incline by bottom teeth bite into my upper gum

you lot all had it easy, before i got a new dentiset i had new teeth growing over the old teeth which wouldn't move. my mum got made at the dentiset who kept saying they would come out sooner or late. we changed dentisted and i had them removed with plyers, all 6 of them.

I have 5 wisdom teeth its going to suck if i have to have them taken out.

Ive been reading up and theyre really dangerous :x

no i got my mouth x-rayed and they told me i had 5 wierd thing is so does my brother only thing that we have that is identicle. Don't ask me why i have 5, believe me i was just as suprised.

Right.

They don't do special military procedures, I was still living on-base when I got mine taken out. I just went to a base clinic, they dealt with it for free, the same way as every other clinic.
