Lesson I Move the cursor position on "Start",(the small button in the lower-left corner of your explorer) click your Left Mouse Button on it (lets call it LMB). Then change your cursor position to the "Programs" menu, and hover your pointing finger of your right(left) hand on the mouse's LMB, then click it. Locate the "Accesories" menu, and move your mouse pointer so the cursor co-ords will match the co-ords of the "Accesories" menu. Then click your LMB, and vuala, you're in the place youre looking for. Hover the mouse pointer over the "Notepad" icon/text, and then click your LMB. This concludes Lesson I, you've just started your very best CNC: Generals modding adventure by initializing the CNC: Generals Unit Information Editor (known as "MS Notepad" for some people) Lesson II I assume that you've got the Unit Information Editor started already (if not, proceed to Lesson I). Find your CNC: Generals directory on your computer (By default it should be located in "C:\Program Files\Westwood\C&C Generals"). With your basic mouse maneuvering skills acquired in Lesson I, you should be able to locate the .ini files with unit information easily. Click on them with your LMB. This concludes Lesson II. For acquiring basic keyboard typing skills wait for the Lesson III to be imaginated by the Author. If you're tired of waiting, go to Hell, and look for a better tutorial in there. Tell me that it's not a user friendly guide and i'll kill you -- |
