What's the situation on flash development? Thread

I wasn't sure which section to post this on, so apologies if it's the wrong one,

I'm curious to know what the flash game development world looks like now, I tried to look up stuff like what kind of revenue and what kind of player base you can expect if you decide to go with browser games but pretty much every blog and article are dated from like 2008 to 2014. I'm looking for more current info because I'm working on a game and I decided to go with flash and with the time-waster type of game but I'm starting to wonder if that was a mistake because from the looks of it, flash is getting less and less popular. And also, I realize that most people use adblock now so I'm curious to know where the main source of revenue comes from (if there is even one).

It looks like noone needs flash now.

I even remember trend of flash-sites, it passed away so quickly. Sad.

I guess that means i should stay away from flash
