Question is already in the title. Any suggestions appreciated, whether its in the form of songs that already exist or genres, anything that can get me inspired to writing a track that fits my game is welcome! Thank you in advance :)

I like your suggestions (especially two steps from hell and audiomachine). I hope orchestral compositions also work well when in-game.

Well I can think of either modern shooter.. something bit more electronic.. some dark drum n bass like Noisia for example? Or maybe if it's more of a world war 2 shooter for example you might wanna have a bit more orchestral piece of music? Other than that some good old metal would work too. Something simplistic like maybe some Pantera or so ;) Just thinking off the top off my head. Hope I helped in any way

I write, compose, record, produce and play music. If you have anything to record, mix, write etc. You have me! Looking specifically for a bigger game project.

I forgot E.S. Posthumus now Les Friction, also good sources for that epic/symphonic type of music.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions! So there were all kinds of suggestions, so I just decided to incorporate all in one piece. Here's the synthetic orchestral drum & bass vintage metal rock piece I started working on: Www38.zippyshare.com (Downloaded, it sounds a lot better ;) )

Personally, although the transitions are a bit dodgy, I quite like it and i think it could fit to the style of the game once its done! Be sure to tell me what you think or leave feedback, as I just started on it. Thanks to everyone who left suggestions! :D
