We're releasing a map editor - meet TEd! Thread

HI guys,

My name's Craig Laycock, and you can see me in this video. I work for The Creative Assembly, makers of the Total War series. We've decided to support the PC mod making community a little more by releasing a free map editor called TEd, or "The Editor". It allows you to intuitively create new battlefields, including naval and siege environments, and we'd love to see what the community can do with it.

The video above will tell you all about its capabilities far better than I could on here. Anyway... I've got a couple of cool prizes - a RAT MMO mouse and some other cool stuff - to the best map-makers from Mod DB.

All you need to do is download it on May 27th, through Steam, mess around with it, and upload your finest creations. We'll judge the best ones and dish out the prizes!

Finally, I just wanted to say that we've released this tool for guys, and gals, like you who believe strongly that PC modding is king. The PC is a great platform - show us what it can do.
