Just get an enormous book that covers almost all of C/C++, like Jamsa's C/C++ Programmer's Bible. That's how I learned, after that it's all experience.

sign up for a class at a local community college is likely the easiest (though not cheapest) way to do it... more likely to remember it all too

Yuck, I've never been to a programming class, and I blanch at the thought; it probably would take a month to get where you could in a few days with books.

perhaps... but you would learn tricks that you wouldnt otherwise learn with books... and you could learn more advanced stuff than you could ever just teach yourself

How so? I learn that stuff by figuring it out. I doubt many teachers teach you 'tricks'

disable macros

word is defaulted to prompting before running macros, only an idiot would turn them on full without prompting
