# Join Us! # Gorilla Tactics is seeking a few volunteer character and environmental concept artists to work on their current project, Kung Fu Kingdom. Kung Fu Kingdom is a isometric 2d strategy game set in a satirical world based on popular martial arts movies like Kung Fu Hustle, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Shaolin Soccer, and Legend of the Red Dragon, among others. Controlling the action from a strategic level, players are released from the chaos of unit micromanagement, and freed to focus on leading their faction on to glory, letting the AI managers handle the task of implementing your grand strategy. As an artist, you are looking for a project where you can contribute your time with the assurance that the project will not just dissolve into obscurity. And who can blame you? Many mod and startup Indie groups explode upon impact with actual development work. Fear not! The Kung Fu Kingdom development team is based around a core of professional software programmers who have a range of experience working on everything from database management, version control, medical, and point of sale software, and who are passionate about making games. Lead by Jesse Crafts-Finch, a professional software producer by trade, the Kung Fu Kingdom team has created a wackily fun, yet thoroughly professional culture in which to produce games. Volunteers who work on Kung Fu Kingdom contribute time on a per-task basis; we don't ask for any time commitment beyond the single task you sign up to do. This accommodates our volunteers busy schedules and avoids setting unrealistic expectations while still setting firm and achievable goals which will propel us toward completing our game.
