I want to bump one of my threads (it has a poll on it), but trying to do so only edits my post. Is there some way fix that? |

Simple, make a new thread asking to bump a thread. BUT PUT THE LINK TO THE ORIGINAL THREAD! -- Someone wrote:Her?

That seems like it would clutter the forums. |

i would like to bump my thread too. do i have to create a new thread to ask if i can bump my thread (with a link to that thread) everytime i want to bump a thread? what if i want to bump ten or 1000 threads? can i then create 10-1000 new threads just to bump the other threads? seems legit... |

Or... you just don't 'bump' your thread and accept the fact that there was nobody that wanted to reply. Of course it's a bad idea to create a new thread just to say you want to bump another thread... |

Do not do that. If a thread has no responses chances are it won't get any more. --

Would you prefer I just make an identical thread? I can do that. Of course, I'll need to merge to results of each iteration of my polls...tally the written responses...lots o' work. More clutter too. -- I snark, therefore, I am.

Why do you want to bump your thread? Spamming our forums is not exactly a solution to your problem. --

I needed my thread bumped because I'm using it gather demographics data important to my efforts in designing my game, specifically, the length of time an average session of play is. That information will affect, at the very least, how I go about monetizing and supporting my game, which will have a very large effect on how the systems in it work. I'm not exactly posting a thousand-a-day. Nor am I going to ask for bump just because my thread isn't top of the list. -- I snark, therefore, I am.
