View more button instead of pages for comments section Thread

I don't know if this has been posted before, if it has then just ignore it.

It's always annoyed me how if a comment gets to many replies, some of the replies end up in the next page, leaving a random set of comments that make no sense. It's fine when you've been following the comment trail from the beginning and know better, but it's annoying when you visit new pages, or check back to your page after a long time.

Perhaps instead of separating the comments into pages, it can just be a continuous page with a view more button to view older comments like in 9gag (posted for lack of other examples).

In fact, on the same topic, it would be easier to write and read replies if the individual posts could be replied to rather than the whole thread.
I'm a fairly active user on Deviant Art, so I'm used to the nested comments format, where a reply to a post is indented directly under the post that the user replied to, and only stand-alone posts that aren't replies to other posts are sorted by chronological order.

It's a good way to see whether a user is addressing the topic of discussion or another user too.

Of course, if this feature already exists and I've missed it, someone let me know. I'm still getting started on IndieDB, so I've likely missed a lot. I don't even know how to start my own thread yet, or if you need special status to do that.
