HL and HL2 have a preppy feel to it and have an online community that's a majority of lamers, plus you have to warez0r a compiler for the code. Unreal > HL -- < insert subject games here >

I guess coding wise and stuff its different but i am not looking at it from that point of view, i only map, the unreal mapping utility seemed alot more complex but i didnt take time to learn it. But i dont know about code and yes the entire community is a bunch of lamers who think they are macho men because they can say im a 1337 h4x0rz and n00b. -- Nicholas D. Wolfwood |

Except wolfenstein uses similiar building like HL because its uses the Quake 3 engine. |

Half Life is over-rated for some reason Its a good game, yeah, but overrated. And, Unreal 1 had much better atmosphere than Half life, and Unreal was just an awesome game I thought- It was truly "Unreal" Although- If your talking about "engines" here, not the actual game, then it should be the Quake 2 engine, because Half life uses the Quake 2 engine. |

Unreal and UT pwnz0r Unreal 2, which was a horrible disgrace of a game. And the art style of the textures has nothing to do with the textures, unless you're talking about the weird dithery effect in software mode. --

if you want bigger maps and realistic textures and hard code to use than go with RTCW If you want easy code and easy modding than go HL, You will need l33t mappers to get a good mod out. UT, easy mapping, code is not fun to play with and models need to be nice= all around good mod team needed. SP=rtcw, hl, ut |
