Our team is approaching the release of our kickstarter campaign, however, our 3D artist is currently dealing with a death in her family, so we are short one of the most important members of the team. There are some small jobs that need finishing before we can proceed, so we are looking for someone fast and knowledgeable to help clean up the loose ends.
We need someone who knows what they are doing, and can do it quickly. Unity can be very picky about what it wants in an import, so you MUST be familiar with importing things into unity.
Our game is an animal based, online, multiplayer rpg, so you will strictly be dealing with quadrupeds and organic meshes. You don't have to mesh any animals from scratch, but someone with talent in organic meshing would be preferred. The style is more realistic, so you will have to be able to match up with that.

What we need:

  • Hair tufts put on the animal models. The hair needs to move, but in the least costly way possible. I have been told a chain of joints is the best way to do this, but as I am not a mesher, I have no idea how long this takes, or how laborious a process it is (or if there are other options). Please be willing to have a look, and let us know what you think would be best. There are 3 models that will need this done on them.
  • Possibly some extra small things as they pop up last minute because it happens...

We know nothing is for free, and we are willing to pay you something for your time and effort, but keep in mind we are an indie team that has not released our kickstarter yet, so funds are limited.
If you were to find you are interested in our project, and want to continue working with us (with possibly better pay in the near future), we are very open to that; especially if you have talent creating animal models, or are very proficient with Unity.

We are fun people that are open to ideas and willing to work out some deals. We will always try to be fair to you.

If you think you could help us out with this problem, please feel free to message me, or send me an email at mkemp@sfu.ca.
Please include some examples of your work and your experience with unity. Also include what kind of compensation you would expect for this type of commission.

If you do send something via email, please post that you did, so I can make sure your email did not go into my spam folder.
I will also note that if you try to search information on our team or game, you will not find any, as we are keeping all media and news on lockdown until the day of the kickstarter release. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I look forward to hearing from you!
