I was looking how i could do my part for the aid and i donated... i just thought some of you might wnat to do something about it too.

Anyway, I've already donated $50 to the Christian Childs Fund, as well as donated blood to the Red Cross. I hope that goes on to help anyone over there

yeah, i donated blood over here in the UK too... that needle.. - its quite painful.. especially when a woman thats in a bitchy mood pushes it in further than it should be..

but nevermind as long as its helping someone i don't mind

i donated 100 Euros to the red cross, and i also donated blood. But actually, i think their biggest problem is not money, its organising the transport of all the goods and food. There has been one hell of a chaos over there. They have even missed a crashed train that was crushed by the tsunami with almost 2000 people in it. Most of them died since they couldnt get there by car, meaning they couldnt get them out This clearly shows that they need better organisation and more vehicles to get hurt people out of the crisis area.

i voluntier at a place called st vincent de paul and we had a little collection box on the front counter for the victims and wot not and we had a good $40-50 not alot but its something, then a group of 4 18-19 yr olds come in and start causin troulbe so me and the manager go and sort it out and when we get back to the counter the box with all the money was gone =\ pretty sad that people would do that....

I'm going to donate £20 to the appeal, it's the only irght thing to do and i'd feel terribly guilty if i didn't. Well done to all those who donated and gave what they could, you've helped a lot of people in their struggle tro survive. As for the robbery, i think that's disgusting!

I never knew the British Public were so generous, I think it's ironic that the British Government gave only 50million pounds but the British public have raised over 70million pounds and it's likely to reach 100 million!

We've (my band) organized a gig to raise money, hopefully we can get about 400 quid!

You have to keep in mind that money is all good but as has been said its not really whats needed anymore, they already have over 1billion towards the renewal of effected areas, obviously this isnt enough in long term but short term it is, it will be intresting to see if countries like japan that give $500 million will continue to give or if they will stop at that and if they continue to donate in such large amounts wouldnt mind knowing just how they can do it half a billion a year aint easy to just donate with no returns

Yeah well the British government has agreed to match whatever we Brits make - which is estimated to be way over 100 Million - so at least those lazy bastards will do something more...
