Satellite dishes surveil the skies for the NSA black box HQ

Hi everyone!

I'm working on an interactive fiction game about the Snowden leaks played in real-time by email.

On Kickstarter now, it's a non-linear, branching narrative which explores themes of surveillance and privacy.

I plan to release all the game code and content creation tools free and open source, so if you're interested in making real-time games (or think a Snowden leaks thriller is cool!) please consider backing the project!

If you have any questions/feedback/ideas let me know. :)

LOL, how about copy-rights from Snowden for using his name in the game?

Peoples names are copyrighted?

Refer to your lead character by a Ghost Name. Snowden has given you your idea and a game for this genre can explore the issues of the world, the power abusers and the plights of hackers and whistleblowers quite aptly without naming someone in particular. If your belief system means you deeply sympathise with Mr. Snowden you can have a "Dedicated To" on the intro or main screen. Good luck with your game - it is a very valid and pertinent material for a contemporary game and could produce some unique gameplay.

PS: If hackers are part of the story please try an avoid the three attempts password scene - Hackers have a much more advanced arsenal these days - why else would Microsoft have allowed passwords in win7.

PS2: Peoples names aren't copyrighted but there is Libel to consider - that is false testimony regarding a real person. You hail from a country where you might need to be careful about what you say about other public figures and not worry so much about Mr. Snowden.

P.S. Will the real-time emails use aptly encrypted email as a mechanism of gameplay? Don't tell me now - leak it later!
