Today a Life Simulator Thread

Just an idea i,ve have for awhile now.

The title itself is pritty much self explanatory towards the idea i have accept it does not render all the details.
What if a single server on its own hosted a number of people actually controling the server. Think about it a town run by the players of the MMORPG where everyday jobs like transportation or health can be taken by the players of the server.

A place where players have the ability to fend for themselves either to become a success or a simple street begger.

But don't take personal hygiene or hunger forgranted or your character will slowly begin to become unfit to undergo everyday tasks.

That's pritty much it... a modification of the sims online.

Any ideas on improvement or constructive criticism?

First off its far too large of a project for any mod team to undertake. Secondly, nobody wants to play a game that has no point, I mean really, in a game if you could choose between a gang member or a doctor what would you choose? There isn't enough action, unless you plan to go more in-depth with your idea, and maybe scaling it down a bit might help to.

For starters i have not went into enough detial of this mod. Also try telling the players of The Sims that there game has no point seeing as my idea is along the lines of it. They seem to have no problam with playing a game with little action.

You're talking with the Moddb crowd however, anyone that plays the sims is firmly stricken from the record as to mattering in the modification and gaming realms, sounds harsh but hey...don't care. (Granted I believe Sims is covered by Moddb but, what, you wanna fight about semantics?)

Besides, there is a game like this already, called The Sims, people who want to play, have the game, there are few cases where conversion of another game works, this is not one of them.

True although i am not trying to make a conversion of the sims infact this is far from a conversion of the sims despite the job and hunger feature. And i understand this does not suite your taste which is why i am taking advice as to how to make the entire family happy

(if i ever come to a stage of making this modification)

This idea reminds me of those people who used to play Ultima online, and not be a hero or whatever. I had a friend who became a master baker. He spent weeks and weeks serving people bread. Loser.
