The You-choose mod. Thread

hey guys, im managing another mod. I guess people love my ideas and organizational skills.
Its a doom 3 mod.

the you-choose mod is a multiplayer mod that will support over 8 people. We already have a coder. What its about is amazing. ITs a deathmatch, with typical CTF, deathmatch, and some other new gametypes. But instead of carrying one theme, it has tons of other themes. How so?

We make models to start with, a doom 3 deathmatch style thing.
People submit thier models, players, weapons, and maps, and we include it in the mod. Lets say sombody made a redneck, and sombody else made a beercan, and sombody made a predator. You could beat the redneck to death with a beer can. (no offense against rednecks ) I hope you understand what im saying. Its a mod for the people, by the people. A community based mod where people could submit thier work, and we would include it. Hopefully, this would lead to alot of fun.

There would be a screening process of course.

We already have a coder.

what? If and when people submit content like models and weapons, they will be included in the mod as a seperate playable character.

What good is having a coder when there's no code to work with?

This has to stop. Did anyone stop to ask "how" they were starting off? They've been using the editor to building lvls then once the sdk is out they'll more or less go to town on this and then do the code work. But if someone had simply asked in a nice manner this all could have been avoided.

He was only stating there was no Doom 3 sdk at that point, a situation which has since changed.

Of course, only modders can really get into a mod such as this. For everyone else, it's stuck in a pseudopsychotic world that doesn't make any sense

im also thinking somthing along the lines of... oh i dont know... having edward scisorhands face off against a covenant grunt.
each character would have thier special weapons and abilities. Lucky us the sdk came out.
