The Ring Two Impressions Thread

So I saw the ring two last night and i must say i enjoyed it a lot. reviewers seemed to not like it so much but i think it had many things that kept it GOOD for me.

The plot of the ring two is very different from the first, and also feels and looks a lot different.

The movie leaves off months after first where Rachel and her son hayden are starting a new life in Astonia. Rachel gets a job at a place to write articles on the newspaper. Just moments into the movie she hears about a killed teenager . It doesnt take long for Rachel to find out that Samora has found them again...

the actors stay very unique. Rachel plays her part well and so does Hayden. Hayden was known to be creepy in the first one with his morbid drawings, but in this film he is even more dark and mysterious with his bad nightmare and visions of samora.

the visuals are very nice and has a very nice art style. theres a scene where all this water is flying around hayden (as seen on the commercials) and was done so naturally and beautifully. Another effect that comes to mind is the new way they show the well. Everything around the person the ring is focusing on transforms into this really staticy tv look and is amazing cause of the way it blended in. However there were many other scenes that totally seemed ridiculous. The CG animations of the animals and various other things really killed the frightening feel that was meant to be given by director Hideo.

The soundtrack presented exactly what the movie presented in musical notes. It was dark but was balanced with the movie, giving off a mysterious feeling. The music in it is definitely amazing as well as the sound effects of the ring. All the drilling scratchy noises heard on the tape have been revamped. Let me tell you, i was walking home late last night at 1:00 AM after the movie to my house and i kept hearing all those sounds in my head. They truely stay with you and give off the 7 days effect.

The story was really well done just like most of the other elements. There were holes in it, but overall it felt chilling. I loved this movie and would see it again, but its definitely not a masterpiece.

the ring one sucked so im definitely not going to see this one. The first one did the same thing what lies beneath did, they think that loud noises and one bitch with some cgi will scare the pants off everyone, which is not true seeing as loud ear piercing noises dont scare me, rather they annoy me.

I think The Ring (first one) ws actually pretty good, it was hella better than most other movies that have come out... I mean theres no way I would call it an incredible movie but it wasn't bad. I'm waiting on the Amnyville Horror

im waiting for alice in wonderland, a non disney version. It would kick ass

there is one from roughly '54 that was made in under 48 hours, and sticks almost exactly to the book

some say it's good, some say it's terrible, i myself have never seen it.

That game is called American McGee's Alice and takes place after the original story. A friggin good game actually in my opinion.

I was going to see this today but was late getting to the theater, and ended up seeing the pacifier Starring vin diesel which was the dumbest movie I've ever seen

Yes, Sin City looks like a great movie. Bruce Willis is my favorite actor, he's so badass. I liked him best in Pulp Fiction

Clive Owen and Benicio del Toro are some mighty fine actors in the movie as well.

I'm so done with crap movies. Especially sequels. I'm starting to get into Independent and Foreign films. Pretty good stuff. I'm sick of these stupid ass sequels with the rewritten plot. It's sad that they get away with it too. People should wake up.

By far the worst offender so far is Miss Congeniality 2. Wtf is that?

But yeah. Sin City looks pretty cool.
