Hello all!

The recent spectacular release of the Republic at War modification for Star Wars Empire at War got the ol' cogs spinning and I thought to myself "Here's an excellent Clone Wars mod, there are already many Galactic Civil War mods, and quite a few post-Rebellion mods but you don't see too many solid, worthy Old Republic mods..."

I aim to change that.

While I'd love to throw in everything there is in the Old Republic era (which is a lot) I think it best to start on the smaller scale. Where you may ask? The Mandalorian Wars of 3,976 - 3,960 BBY - the time period going from the Mandalorian expansion into the Outer Rim Territories, the war between the Neo-Crusaders and the Republic, and up to the destruction of Malachor V.

The mod would feature two playable factions (the Mandalorians and the Republic) - each featuring their own full rosters of land and space units, a small handful of Galactic Conquest missions centered around distinct events/campaigns which took place during the War, a GC which simply lets the Republic and Mandalorians square off in a free-form style, hero (Saul Karath, Cassus Fett, etc) and special units (Karath's Courageous), a galaxy map that mainly focuses on Mandalorian space and the Jebble-Vanquo-Tarnith Line but also will include other Republic controlled worlds like Coruscant/Onderon/Alderaan/Corellia/etc, and a completely new and distinct UI/menu system.

This mod is completely at it's creative foundation at the moment so we need every kind of modder: people with experience (preferably with EAW) in scripting, 2D art, 3D modeling, animation, skinning, coding, etc etc.

If anyone is at all interested in joining this mod (or if you have any questions) either respond to this thread or send me a message either here on ModDB or at VOP2288@yahoo.com.

Thanks,
VOP
