Terrain layers UT3 Thread

Hi, I'm trying to get the hang of the terrain editor for ut3. I was watching boneslicers video tutorials on large terrain, and was making new layers and whatnnot. I had it all right, had extra material layers and stuff, but when I go to paint these other materials on my main layer, it doesn't paint the material, it just builds the terrain upward like if I didn't make the layers at all(yes I had them selected)...any help?

Make sure that you have the material layer selected - and sometimes, this is just a bug. Hammer on that layer until it's definitely working.
