Hi there! I'm recruiting 2d artists for a game I am producing called Urban Space Squirrels.

The game is a 2d puzzle platformer for the X360 and is being developed by students at the University of Utah. It features a squirrel that is trapped on the Island of Shabubu and forced to undergo cruel tests for hair care products. He escapes from his cage and, using metal gauntlets installed by his comic-loving captor, creates explosions which he uses to overcome obstacles and escape. This is an idea similar to grenade jumping with a fast paced twist.

Currently, we have programmers up the wazoo, but not enough artists. We've already reached Alpha testing and have 3 months to complete our set of assets. The game will be put on xboxlive in April 2010.

This is a project that will be published and anyone that contributes will be credited for their work. What we need are more artists to increase our overall rate of production. Examples of the kind of assets we need can be viewed here:

Skills with Photoshop or Illustrator are preferred, however, traditional mediums are also considered. Weekly meetings and deadlines are a must. Our production pipeline is collaborative, so feel free to apply--We are willing to accept artists of different skill levels. Here is a list of the current open positions:
