Hiya! I did some searching but although there must be threads on this, I may be using the wrong terms to bring it up in the site's search engine. After close to a year, I'm finally getting around to playing BG1:EE and since I played it almost the same throughout my vanilla bg1 life, I wanted to change things around this time with different party combinations including some of the new additions. I found this large portrait pack(but d-loaded it from nexus though this site was also recommended for d-loading) but when I get to the character creation screen, none of the new pics show as options. I'm certain I installed it correctly based on their instructions(I don't know if your version installs differently and maybe that's the issue?) The other problem I thought it might be is that the fellow from nexus(who also made a video but his copy of the game and subsequent walkthrough I couldn't duplicate in order to test the portraits and he doesn't appear to support the product anymore as I've had no reply from him in over a week. Now the thing he mentions is that there is a possibility of issues if other (sql I think he called it) which I assume may be other portrait pack(s) may interfere with it and as you're no doubt aware, team BG did release and add for free a small portrait pack(4males/4females) in that format, so that may be interfering as he said. Is he right or is there a different way to install the pack somehow where the 2 packs don't interfere with each other. As standard practice for me having used so many mods for dragon age, all elder scrolls, fallout etc, I always set up a separate file called portraits as a precaution anytime I deal with new portrait packs, but nothing works. If you can point me to a thread I can read and see if I can glean any new information or method of making this pack work I'd appreciate it. with thanks |

Seems like one of the game patch broke the super ultimate portraits pack. And still preferring modded BG I + BG II than the Enhanced Editions, perhaps except that EEs actually work in the multiplayer mode. Baldur's Gate Trilogy mod does all EE can plus it lets you play both BG + BG II almost seamlessly: Moddb.com Edited by: feillyne |
