There are inactive mods i want to stop watching. I asked sombody about it but...

Silent_shadow900 says:
how do you stop watching a mod?
frawst says:
go to modwatch
Silent_shadow900 says:
k
frawst says:
select a mod
frawst says:
go to the bottom
Silent_shadow900 says:
well
frawst says:
and click stop watching
Silent_shadow900 says:
there are no updates for the mods i want to get rid of...
frawst says:
owell

A slight flaw, we cant get rid of mods that dont update, even though those are the ones we really want to get rid of... anybody else see a problem with this, or is it just me?

that's kinda funny. Well, if you're not gonna be bothered with them, why bother removing it?

more to the point, why would you start watching a mod which had no updates?

You just brought it on yourself :F

No...a lot of mods have started off strong and ended up dying. Im guessing you have not been doing much modding lately or you would know that its hard to keep a team's morale up for a long period of time.

Thats another thing...mods (Full conversion) take forever to make. You ahve to go through mapping, skinning, animating, modeling, coding ect. Its a long process.

It doesn't take long to get enough of a start to get the team excited enough that they won't just give up and stumble. The issue here is with people trying to do more than they could ever manage.

Why the only adverse affect it has is them showing up in your profile and i dowt any body cares what mods your "watching"..

If they dont bug you with countless alerts why bother deleting them..

I want to stop watching a few mods also. I have 48 mods watched, and frankly the list is getting too long. In the spirit of optimization, i want to keep my watch list clean.

im trying to look through the mods im watching to look for content, and there's all this crappy dead mods that won't update so i can't get rid of them! I dont want all this crap in my profile, when is this "feature" going to be updated and addressed? Would it be so hard to take this stuff off my modwatch?

May 24 2005 Anchor

I am having the same problem. I cannot seem to find a stop watching feature. A mod has merged with another and I cannot remove the abandoned one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, ive experienced the same problem as well. While its not something that im losing sleep over...its just one of those things like several who have said that can bother the anal retentive or perfectionist...which I sorta am..sometimes...heh.

if a simple annoying problem like this can't be solved, then there really is no point of this suggestion section...

Chunky, Scott isn't even in town right now, as far as i know its on the todo list, but the fact that he's overseas on work is preventing it.

Chaos_Theory is probably busy as well, as he recently moved.

Scott will be working on it when he gets back.
