This looks just awesome. This shot shows how complicated the game levels can be; it looks like true fun, and I like teh storyline too.

My god, it's not all about graphics, you guys (Excluding azz0r). Gameplay is a big factor. Anyway, why does STALKER have to get pwned by it? Can't the two get along, so we can have two amazing games instead of one?

EDIT: Real-life, lol, right...

Obviously the developers have a bit of a cartoon niche, eh?

No it doesnt. Look at those screenshots, even if that monster wasnt there it barely looks better than like a competitor to farcry, let alone Stalker.

Stalker and, that game above^ are both great games, but my friend showed me this trailor of a new game, and by golly, it decimates all...

The game is called Fear, and if you want info on it google it. Cause it looks aweasome, and the Physics are incredible...

the models look very cartoony. almost a wallace and gromit feel except grimier.(if thats even a word)

but the scenery (mainly that outside pic with the car and built up rainwater) look fantasic !

i didnt read any of the news because i went straight to the screenshots but this game is a sure buy if its a fps.

Yea games are not like cars were you only buy one(unless you are a rich snob or somthing) you can buy a lot of games. that means that unless the game is absulutly horrible it will be bought.

Bah, the gameplay sounds good but stalker's sounds (and looks, the videos look great and not just graphically) way more interesting.

This will be a great year for gamers, with this one, stalker (hopefully) Half-life2, doom3, FEAR!??! AND i got a job as a [ego]programer for CLA Engineers making 8 dollars an hour[/ego] i can buy these games without my mom buging me!??!?!

Well, here's what I think...

First off, this game can pwn Stalker because it's more unknown than it's "rival". People tend to like good games that come out of nowhere, that aren't overhyped - reminds a bit of situation with Far Cry, and all of those great games that are in development (Doom 3, HL2 and so). You Are Empty will be fresh, unknown. It will interest people because the masses don't know much about it, and they'll buy it. To check out a new, amazingly looking game.

Second, the topic name "Stalker can get pwned by another Russian game" actually says there's some kind of competition. Just look - Stalker and YAE have many common things. Gamers, the reviewers like to compare two or more products; look at HL2 and Doom 3 again, and you get the answer. If you don't like it - then just forget the name of the thread, and discuss the game!

And third - yeah, I agree, some models are pretty cartoonish looking, some things aren't perfect right now. But the game is in stage of development, much earlier than Stalker is. Give that game some more time. Don't do such judgements right now; we'll wait, we'll see.

i think they purposely made their models look goofy. thats the theme of the mod it seems. if you dont like it then dont play it. it just happens to be something i might find fun.
