split screen quake? Thread

does any one know of a split screen version of the quake engine. i saw a version on the game box for the n64 and was woundering if there was any made for pc.

what do you mean by split screen? two player ?

hm.. id imagine that would be a good bit of work, and pointless... i mean, WHY split screen??

coop with a freind, no lan, freind might not have computer

but split screen is just gay how do you do that with one mouse?

use i keyboard like me.. in quake 3, i am the undisputed BEST keyboarder ALIVE! lol! i actually AM pretty wicked with it.. for a keyboarder..

pffft believe me you still get better aim with the mouse

i know.. i also use mouse.. but then agian, i dont even play q3 too often.. but still, im decent with mouse, however i jsut recently started using it..

There is no split-screen Quake engine in existence.

it would be horrible anyways, split screen is horible!

Legacy Doom/Heretic/Hexen (soon) has splitscreen

Legacy has second mouse support.

The author of Legacy helped Croteam with aux mouse support as well

But I like splitscreen when I play coop doom/hexen/heritic. Its just more fun when the friend is right next to you working together. But it will be harder for a person to play COOP on quake than on doom.

But I wish you can do it for HL, because I wanted to make a cool game for my friend which we both can play.

It's done on Serious Sam, coop, deathmatch, everything

I GOT SERIOUS SAM 2 I LOVE IT altho since idownloaded it, i cant install 1.07... but i can play servers who are using 1.05

Well you can extract the patch to your sam folder, using winzip.
