In UT2003, is there a way to make the Single-Player option go straight to a map with a certain Character. Like if you click on SP button it will go to a map and use a certain character. -- ------------------------------------------ |

Look in your maps folder, doubleclick the map and boom. - Edited By CheapAlert On Tue 18th, Mar 2003 @ 2:48:40pm -- < insert subject games here >

Not exactly. This is for my mod and I don't want a character development screen before the game and that I want it to be like Unreal II. -- ------------------------------------------ |

No, U2 uses "Unreal Warfare" engine. It's different. -- < insert subject games here >

I dont want to get off topic or anything, but is that the same engine that Americas Army uses? and what engine does Medal of Honor use? -- Sachmo The Wang and me are property of modDB© Dead Aim Clear Score: 41mins 16secs beat that biaotch!! |

Medal of honor uses the Quake 3 engine. And that I had heard is that Unreal 2 and UT2003 uses the unreal warfare engine. I had a talk with a worker at UDN Unreal Development Network. He said that there is no difference in the capability but the change in the Unreal Code. -- ------------------------------------------ |

it won't work on UT2003 because the scripting which works the game won't allow a mod which uses different coding of the UnrealScript. I'll try to get to the bottom of this. -- ------------------------------------------ |

UT200 and U2 are both based on the Unreal Warfare engine. The maps are fully compatible, you just have to watch the use of certain textures and actors. Models are probably compatible too. You could convert your mod from UT2003 to U2 relatively easily. The only viable alternative is to code your entire single player campaign yourself and it would take quite some time to get it to run. |
