Hi,

I'm Kevin Daley, AI programmer for the openOutcast mod. I'm also doing some other personal projects.

One of these projects is some sort of medieval combat sim that makes heavy use of the AI also used in openOutcast, or some variant. It's a CryEngine 3 project, which means that levels can either be created in Sandbox or imported from SketchUp.

So I'm looking for some levels to test the gameplay out, doesn't have to have anything fancy like textures. This is entirely a prototype, so it would be a great project for a beginning artist.

If you're looking to fill any gap in your portfolio, this may interest you; I can make a gameplay demonstration video that features your level(s) prominently. I will not redistribute your work publicly without your permission; rather, I'll simply use it to make demonstration videos and test stuff internally. I might enter it into some competitions, but I'll ask you first (and I won't give anyone else the .cry files). You will be given full credit, of course, and royalties should the project see a commercial release.

The biggest, most important piece is a sort of helm's deep-style map. Like a big city wall with towers for archers and lookouts, tunnels underneath the city for setting up some sort of covert attack, a vast field in front, and some sort of corridors on the inside with cover. The exact details are totally negotiable, depending on how visually "finished" you want to make the work, what sort of details you want to include, etc. Just needs to be pretty damn big ;).

Again, this could be an excellent chance to show off a portfolio item with real and complex gameplay features. If this sounds interesting, and you have any level design experience whatsoever, send me a PM while it's hot!

Cheers!
Kevin
