I'm looking for a partner who is an experienced programmer and has the time and dedication necessary to develop a very basic prototype with me. The prototype will be built using the Unity engine. This will be a very short project, with an estimated development time frame of 1-2 months. To goal is to create a very basic prototype that covers the core gameplay of a much larger project. When the prototype is complete, we'll discuss any possible future development.

Here is a small task list to give you an idea of what to expect:

-Health system
-Damage receiver
-Multi-player networking
-Team and character selection list
-A combat system
-Basic motor skills system

For the time being, I am referring to this project by the name "Dignity." Here is a small excerpt from my design document (NOTE: This excerpt covers a larger scope of the game than just the prototype):

Game Concept: Dignity is a Third-Person Action RPG that brings the casual and hardcore communities together in an online multi-player arena setting. Three teams face off against one another, pitting players against players, with more enemies than allies. Three unique classes introduce an intuitive combat system with pick up and play appeal, but enough flexibility and depth to keep meta-gamers busy for years with play-styles and character builds. These three classes function in a way similar to the classic rock, paper, scissors which both encourages teamwork and enables skilled players. The world in which Dignity takes place is an evolving and dynamic one; it brings the players into a story, while giving them a chance to make one of their own.

Look and Feel: Dignity is crafted to look and feel like a believable high-fantasy world. The characters, the races, and even the players themselves will evolve along side of this world. Where traditional multi-player games forgo stories and lore, Dignity will utilize them to influence players and maintain a sense of progress within the game’s world.

Who am I? I have six years of experience in the mod scene, and I am currently the lead artist on two different indie teams. I was an artist for the ModDB 2009 Mod of the Year winner, Zombie Panic! Source. My weapon, The Southern Hospitality has been featured in Valve's Team Fortress 2. As you may have imagined, this means I will be covering all of the art requirements for the prototype. This game has been my brainchild for awhile now, and I am determined to see it realized. With the right partner, I feel this can be an extremely successful project that is both fun and lucrative.

Please reply to this thread if you are interested, or if you would like some additional information. You may also shoot me an email PatrickLink3d at gmail.

Hm. I can't say I'm any skilled with programming, but I've had an idea brewing in the back of my head for an Action RPGish game myself that might just be able to use something like this. Lemme know how this prototype goes, please?

I'll keep you updated.

This position is still open.

I have updated the original post to clarify the scope of the prototype.
