Hello All,

We are currently seeking talented individuals to act as the art team for a PC title. At the moment, we are unfunded, but upon release any individuals who have contributed to the title will receive compensation.

Below are the details regarding the game:

Title: The Last Great Mind (working title)
Genre: Action/Adventure
Players: 1
Ideal Team Size: 7-10
Development Time: 8 months

POSITIONS NEEDED

Character Modeler-
- Must have a strong understanding of a 3d package (Maya/Max). Zbrush is a plus!
- All models must be built according to animation requirements.
- Have an intermediate to strong understanding of human anatomy.
- Texturing skills a plus!
- Ability to stay within required poly limits

Asset Artist-
- Intermediate to advanced skill in a 3d package (Maya/Max). Zbrush a plus!
- Texturing skills a plus!
- Ability to stay within required poly limits

Texture Artist
- Advanced skill in Photoshop is a must.
- Intermediate to Advanced skill in Zbrush.
- Ability to create full texture ranges. (Bump, Spec, Disp, etc.)
- Understanding of 3d texturing procedures within a 3d package.

UI Artist
- Intermediate to advanced skill within Photoshop.
- Understanding of a variety of art styles.

SUMMARY:
The Last Great Mind is a re-imagining of the historical events in Nikola Tesla's life. Taking place in a fully realized steam-punk world, LGM tells the story of Nikola Tesla, a young scientist that has discovered the key to free energy and his competitor and former boss, JP Morgan, who wants to keep it for
profit.

GAMEPLAY:
A 3rd Person action/adventure, LGM focuses on a Metroid style of completion. Throughout the game, players will acquire new tools that will let them progress further through levels. Each tool offers functions for navigation, puzzles, and combat.

As far as level design, we use what is known as the funneling technique, we give the illusion of a large open area, but players will ultimately be led to a chosen point. This keeps the story progression linear, but still allows the player to run around for side-quests.

Combat at its core is a 2 button affair; Attack and Dodge. However, as the game progresses combat will gain new depth from the expanding tool set. Where once you could only engage in face to face confrontations, a newly acquired Tesla Coil allows you to use ranged electrical attacks.

Along with acquiring these electro-magnetic themed tools, players can also upgrade them at workbenches. These upgrades range from increased effectiveness to new combat options.

CONCLUSION:
The title has been in the design process for a while now, but that is mostly paperwork. So like any team that wants to make a good impression, as well as convince others to join, we've included sample work at our page. The code and concept art are in the alpha stage and will be refined considerably over the course of development.

All applicants are asked to have a portfolio ready and at least a day out of the week that they can work on the project.
