ROTWK Modding.... need a teacher. Thread

I've never modded before but I have some ideas which I'd like to put into my own game, so if anyone can teach me how to do some stuff on Rise of the Witch King, that'd be sweet. I just want to add new heroes so need to know how to do skins, animations, powers, factions etc... long term goal, I want to make a new hero selection system before each skirmish if possible.

So if anyone can teach me or point me in the direction of a guide that'll tell me how to do this that'd be awesome.
