Rising Storms is a strictly fan remake of the old game by Titanic Entertainment called Netstorm. I was working for over a year doing the first set of 3D models on units of the game before tracking down and contacting the original development team of netstorm and and former CEO of titanic Entertainment and I asked them for permission on doing a strictly fan based remake of netstorm not for sale but just a tribute to the old game, they said they did not own the rights to the game but activsion did but they did not think that activsion would mind since it was not meant to be a commercial remake. with that said I did attempt to contact Activsion many times by phone trying to reach the legal department but was not able to get a hold of anyone. Our project is strictly a community fan project.. and the original developers from Titanic Entertainment that made and developed the original netstorm are very pleased with the 3D work we are doing on this classic game.

I am looking for a coder that has experience in working with the Unity engine and looking for a project to work with.

If Any coder is interested please post here with how I can get back in contact with you or PM me here with contact info.

1: coder for coding the RTS element of the project

First off I have improved the Altar giving it more rounded edges!

As you can see the base is now more rounded.

Also we now have the changes made to the sun cannon base so it is now more white like it was in the original game. I have taken some screenshots of the updated mesh plus the Altar mesh inside the engine.

We are still looking for a coder to help us with our fan RTS remake project.

We have a newly finished mesh that is just about finished there are a few errors on the mesh faces that are being corrected by skinner but this is how the skinned mesh looks so far of the air ship mesh! hope you guys like the update :) be sure to post comments on what you think :)

Other meshes that are finished!

I am very pleased to announce that the Bulf resource collector mesh skinning is just about done and today we have the first promo pic of the newly skinned Bulf Mesh.

Our skinner worked closely from the original game art to get it as close the original look as he could, there are a few minor tweaks he is making to the skin but for now the mesh is finished enough for all NS fans to see the Bulf in all his majesty!

Our coders are currently busy working on implementing the RTS camera in unity and are making very good progress on the camera coding, once the camera is finished being implemented they will start in on the build menu so we can start placing the buildings in-game and not just from inside the editor.
