resurruction Thread

first of all, i'm not sure about the spelling of subject. Now the dough

Today in my least favorite class in the world, (islamic) we were talkin about life after death. One dude said that he had some friends in a car crash. Out of 4, 3 of them died. Here's the interesting part. The guy who survived was in a coma for 5 days. When he woke up, he told this dude his story:

"After the car crashed, i woke up again in this place with huge buildings. As I looked around, there were hundreds of beings around me whipping me, and I acctually felt the pain. These...beings had no faces, but their heads were black, and they were absolutely huge and very strong. After the whipping, a man came to me, with a face and all, and commanded me to follow him. From fright, i obeyed and followed him. As we arrived to our destination, and I observed people being tortured. Those huge buildings? They were being torn apart and falling on people trapped in the area. I closed my eyes, and kept them closed. The man said to me, 'If you want to see God, open your eyes.' I kept them closed for 5 days, because i was too scared. Eventually, i woke up suddenly in the hospitol"

He was in a coma in those 5 days

THe mind is a scary thing,and can process scary shit beond what you think is possible, since I am very skeptical about religion and dont belive in hell/heaven im going to say he was dreaming, its the only logical choice of explination, before he saw the car crash, or as it was happening, he prolly thought "crap im dead" which made him have allll threse wierd thoughts , about heaven / hell / god etc.. without him even knowing, but them thoughts would of been processed before he crashed most likely, which would of made his imagination RUN wild while he was in acoma

seems logical, plus i dont care how scared you are... keeping your eyes closed for 5 days, seems a little fishy to me. how would you know it had been five days if youd had your eyes closed for that long. youd loose al perception of time. I hink it was just his mind dreaming or something. good little story there hough.

It wasnt the fact that he kept his eyes closed for five days and lost track of time. He was in a comotose state for five days. What the strange part is, is that in his dream he was aware he had his eyes closed.

So this is an interesting case in the fact that he was able have some awareness of his physical being while still being unconcious.

I know I have had things like this happen - for example. I was laying in bed (asleep) and the phone began to ring in the real world. I had a dream that it was ringing and was looking for it. Suddenly, I awoke to find my actual phone ringing. I believe it is cross between senory information in the brain. Perception is more then just the way you see things.

What I find odd about this situation is that he was able to have a cross sensory experience while in a comatose state. I don't know too much about comas, but I believed it to be a different level of "sleep" - a more extreme verson of the later cycles. Also, the fact that he shared the sensory information about his eyes/eyelids is very percular.

I don't really understand why this called resurrection though - it is more about metaphysics

Cool story.

I saw a vampire in my dream last night. That one was scary. It tried to suck my soul or something. But I was too strong for him and he had to leave my dream.

or listening to the radio in sleep and knowing its on but not concious to turn it off have that alot..

I once had a dream were my brother had used a pen and drew all over himself. I was asking him why did he draw all over hims self. He kept saying what are you talking about and I said look at your self. Then I woke up. My brother was in my room and said what the hell are you talking about. I said I had a strange dream and he left. It turns out I was having a coversation with him while I was dreaming and I was hearing every thing he was realy saying.

now that is just funny. I'm glad weird things like that don't happen to me.....or do they!?!

I know I had a semi coversation with my girlfriend once while she was asleep. I woke up and asked her to move her arm over and she started talking about god knows what and then argued with me about god knows what else.

Once I rode my bike in the night and was going to home to sleep. Then in the middle of the trip, I heard some people playing some death metal very loud. I continued riding my bike and finally got home. Then I went sleeping. I started to dream...

Ive had a dream where i was in my school then zombies started eating people out of nowhere... it was weird but i have dreams like that all the time.

I've had dreams that somebody was swinging a hammer at my head. I could see it coming, then when it hit, I woke up because I had just slammed my head into the headboards. Either some weird time thing happened, or my mind and body were both working together to pull a prank on me!

hmm but sometime i do see things in my dreams and then they happen as if a parallel reality where everything happens the same way

It seems like a reverse deja vu. You should actually record these dreams and either date or mail them so that they are postmarked with the original date. Then, if it comes to pass, share that with someone who can witness you opening the sealed envelope.

no i predict meaningless events in my future in my dreams..

i had a dream that someone was using a stick to tickle me, when i woke up, it turned out to be my stuffed animal (i was in 1st grade ). i woke up so angry, becuz in the dream i was on a board up high, hopelessly sitting there in a carnival where u throw a ball at a little target thingy, and if u hit it, the person sitting there falls in a big bucket of water...and i was that person.

That game is fun...except one time i aimed foor the person instead of the target.. i was 8
