Remove Comment and Ads. Thread

There should be a way for people chose wich Ads they are okay with seeing, such as per example me, I'm not okay with random stuff to buy, but I'm okay with Bad Dragon ads, as it is of my interest, or maybe make Ads that are actualy NEWS from some sites, such as by example the Halummu website, wich contains the latest news of the conflicts.

In a side note, is there any way to remove comments? Sometimes I forgot that I already commented and only notice a day later, and I can't remove it.

That is a good suggestion, but ads can be complicated. I know what you mean about the random ones, but most of what I've seen nowadays is high quality ads for games and other things that appeal to a wide variety of gamers.

You can remove comments, there should be a delete option.
Ads are hard to control as they are regional, last year we partnered with a new ad provider and the response seems to be positive with less irrelevant ads.

I think you can delete your comments via your comments tab in your profile. As for the ads, I never had a problem with them (Greece). Though some ads can be annoying, I fully understand how difficult it is for the admins to have control over them, since it's not fully in their hands.

I hope this new ad provider will remove the annoying ones, so less people will have to recourse to ad blockers.
