Hello, my name is Jack Martin and i am the current founder of Regeneration Studio's, a MOD and soon to be Indie team prepared to bring you new concepts and new ideas that people have not seen in video games before.

Today i am here to talk to you about a project that remains unannounced, i want to set up a team of people and we are wondering if you are interested.

If you are interested in working with the Unreal Development Kit, and working on new and exciting games, visually stunning and different gameplay, then this is for you.

The unnamed and unannounced project (Known as Codename N.E.R.D To me and a few others) is a unreal development kit Cyberpunk theme'd first person shooter that mixes touchy subjects and diverse life filled environments, with the power of the unreal engine.

As i am not going to reveal much in this, we would like you to enquire to us so we may discuss this more in a further meeting.

-About me-

I started modding quite a few years back, about the age of 9 i picked up a copy of battlefield 2 and half life, for a while i played them and loved them, then i discovered mods, i was amazed by them, i never realised someone could make something outside of the mainstream gaming, i was hooked.

I started animation back in 2001 when i saw how i could make things move so fluently and make the game look tons better just by taking time and attention into my work, i started making a small conversion of half life known as Black Sky, this was a small little deathmatch project that eventually died.

I later discovered moddb and started coming here for my fix of mods, i joined a few teams and created one of my own, and now here i stand requesting your attention.

Now, in order to get people to work on this mod you'll need to give out some information.

  1. What is this mod about?
  2. What skills do you have?
  3. Do you have any previous work you can show us that'll discern yourself from all the 12 year olds with no experience or talents that expect to get other people to make a game for them?
  4. Who's 'We' when you say you aren't revealing any details?

Its not a mod, its a UDK project that we have plans to create into an indie game.
Its not super secretz modz lolzorz its still in design document form, we are still gathering teammembers who are interested in the theme and the story.

We arent announcing the whole project to the public for some time, we just want people who are interested in the setting to send me an email for more information, its not that hard.

Most people will go for the style of game they like, because most wont just work on a project with the hopes of pay, they always want to work on something that interests them.

We hope that the cyberpunk theme attracts few individuals who dont see this wonderful style of art and sci fi because there are barley any recent games that can enhance the power of most modern day engines to show a rich cyberpunk environment.
We want people who are prepared to make a game in a style they enjoy, all they need to do is enquire to me and ask what its about, that way they can decide for themselves.

Ok'; if you don't know any details about the game, answer us this:

- What are your skills?
- Specifically why should I not simply make my own Cyberpunk Unreal game; what makes you so special as for me to join your team?
- Do you have experience in game creation before?
- Have you run a team before?

You failed to answer every single one of my questions.

Just stating the art style of the game doesn't tell us anything. It could be RTS, FPS or RPG. You don't need to formally announce the game to give an idea to potential contributors of what the game will be like.

My current skill is animator, and lead designer/manager.

I've modified many games including battlefield, half life 2, half life and unreal tournament 3, these are basically with close friends to get the feel for each engine, right now i feel very natural with unreal engine.

I have worked in a few teams before, i currently work with a few friends on a casual game for the source engine called Bank Heist, i am lead designer and animator, basically i boss them around until they produce the stuff i can make move :) That team consists of 3 people, me (animator, designer) ukgamedev (Model making, prop making) and UNifie (sound management, programming and texture artist)

i also work as animator for MadMonkey on the half life 2 total conversion mod The Fourth Reich, i get along very well with the team and we always meet deadlines.

It is a First person shooter, this was discussed for quite some time with a few people and i decided that first person is the way to go for this project, its mainly single player but if so we are currently considering a unique type of multiplayer that is still in discussion.

The feel of the fps is a mix of Metro 2033 and AVP's animations -the interaction with the environments and first person perspective cutscenes) and the combat is not realistic, but it isnt casual and run'n'gun, there isnt much gun combat overall, we plan to experiment with a lot of things, we want to touch one some touchy subjects, using the cybernetwork and cyberspace as a sort of drug, showing the violence and brutality of the corporations that control over the now small space that humanity live in, (kinda revealing a bit too much about the concept, so i might aswell stop now :P) and we want to add rich cyberpunk environment, the power of the Unreal engine 3.

I hope that answers a lot of your questions, sorry i am extremely busy as of now so this is kind of rushed, theres much more to tell but you may have to give me some time :/

We is me and the main concept artist, i came up with the project, he as much a say as i do because we are pretty close partners in crime.
