Hey i recently downloaded quake, then i installed it. BUt i cant run it. I have window xp. So i dont know what the problem is. Its fully installed but i cant run it. Once i try to open it i get a pop up for like 1 sec. then it dissapears

you cant run dos quake under windows xp, get a modern engine modification, like tomazquake, darkplaces or even glquake:P

well quake isnt free to download O_o

and btw, the screens are from the dynamic lightning mode, the normal one looks pretty badder ;)

what did you mean by that. And what is that website you posted is it a mod or something?

it is an ENGINE MODIFICATION, it doesnt modify the gameplay (there are normal modifications for this), but it modifies some game aspects like graphics etc.

ok my bad bartnowciu. I dont know which file im sopposed to get know im assuming it is the 2 lastest files.

Once i get those i put them in my quake folder but then what?

put the darkplaces executable in your quake folder, and hmm... just run darkplaces.exe and everything will be okay:)

Darkplaces has no dedicated master server, that's why. If there was you'd see plenty ;P

you have to get quakeworld and gamespy to find servers but people mostly just play team fortress on gamespy

same here and it dont work. Im just going to forget it. ive wasted too much time on trying how to fix it.
