I'll keep it short and quick to the point.
My name is Paul Parker and I'm looking for a team to create Infected. (the multiplayer version first and then possibly the single player version and then a final release of both together)

Single Player (or Story Mode) - It is a team based survival game (in the same vein as Left 4 Dead) wherein you can either play alone or with others.

Multiplayer - While taking elements from Team Fortress 2 and Gears Of War, the multiplayer aspect is something completely different. With two opposing teams, the ever adaptable Humans must combat the constantly mutating Infected in a variety of online modes. Infected have 9 different base abilities (such as the ability to grow in size, Berserker, or the bone sword creating Cleaver) and are able to then further customize each of them utilizing the unique DNA Synthesis System. The Humans however, won't be out done. With 4 base classes and the ability to mix and match those classes with other skills will make every battle a formidable clash.

While I can't promise pay out of the gate, I'm sure we will make SOME kind of cash after we get the ball rolling. So more or less, don't expect to get paid but there is a chance that it might happen...(personally I'd say its about 25% now and will increase significantly once we get a video of gameplay)

I'm currently just looking for a few members inorder to get a working pre-alpha of the multiplayer up to show off my idea and polish it while gaining attention.

P.S. Also, I'm sure i'm going to get asked this considering I've only two posts on these boards. I am contributing the entirety of the game design doc to the team as well as management. I have other skills but they are more novice, and while I am currently learning level design and such, I do not feel they are adequate for the type of game I wish to create.

Well since I need more info I guess I can splurge a tad more.
Since we will be focusing on the Multiplayer aspect first, I will only refer to Infected as that aspect only.

The Infected

Spitter - TBA

Stalker - Those people who have withstood the infection enough to the point that they are able to obtain the "best of both worlds". Their genetically mutated physique allows for extraordinary feats while their preserved humanity allows for higher thought processes. However, don't think these expert hunters aren't after Human flesh. Once you get a Stalker on your tail, it'll chase you to the ends of the Earth.

Berserker - Infected with the ability to increase their muscle mass, which gives them fearsome strength and speed. Berserkers tend to come in two flavors: The 3x and the 5x growth. With the 3x growth having a more streamlined form, their speed is unreal. It has to be, inorder to make up for its semi lackluster strength. Now the 5x is a beast of legend. Its Herculean strength launches cars like tiny pebbles at its enemies. Just try not to be on the receiving end of that.

Queen - TBA

Hive - TBA

Cleaver - With the ability to sprout bone protrusions from their forearms, the Cleaver is an intimidating foe. With weapons ranging from bone spears, to swords and even shields, they are a force to be reckoned with from afar and even more so up close.

Spider - Spiderman! Spiderman! Does whatever a spider can! These Infected have gained the ability to climb walls and may or may not spit webbing. One thing is for sure though, if you ever see one in spider themed gear.....he might not be on your side, so shoot anyways.

The Humans

Mechanic - Only those with great minds survive
The Mechanic survives from building Constructs inorder to aid in combat against the Infected. With a wide variety of specialized Constructs ranging from Hovering Sentry Guns to mechanized traps, the Mechanic will be a major aid to any Human team.

Assault - "Ain't no kill like overkill!" Is the motto for the Assaults. If you cant kill it, then you ain't using big enough gun. With access to the most weapon types, the Assault will be the heavy damage dealer.

Medic - The only line of defense against the cold embrace of death, these Medics may or may not have Ph.Ds......

Scavenger - With the ability to collect and drop metal, the Scavengers are indispensable to a team looking to build up a base of operations. Their gadget, the Grapple Zipline, also helps them get out of a tight pinch with the ability to zip to an open window or nearby rooftop.

Gameplay

The gameplay will be similiar to Team Fortress 2 or any other online game where you are able to play in a variety of game modes, each with unique objectives.

While some will be able to play from the get-go, others may require you to have unlocked or equip a certain skill (for infected) or weapon (for humans).

Skills and Classes

The Class System in Infected is a unique one as while the classes are very much individual, they can somewhat be meshed together. Take for instance the Human Side.
Humans are given a set amount of skill slots (lets say 5 for this example)
The actual classes (i.e Medic, Assault, Mechanic, Scavenger) are each worth 2 slots.
This leaves the player with 3 slots to fill with either another class or some skills.
The class slots enable you to use that class weapons and gadgets while skills add different effects such as
Scan - worth 2 slots - enables you to view enemy hit points
Builder - worth 1 slot - allows for the barricading of doors

Which brings to question, will you pure one class while equipping a lot of skills or will you double up your classes?

The Infected Classes and Skills are a little bit different but the concept is virtually the same.

The Infected get a number of DNA points (lets say 15 points)
While they can't double up on classes, Infected get a lot more fluidity with their skills.
With Skills that change their primary weapon in new and innovative ways and others that increase attributes such as speed or strength, the Infected have lots of custom loadouts.

Hi!, greetings... Im new here, yet not new to programming... I am just 16 and i know im too young for programming, but hey, i had been sticked to programming since i was born(actually when i was 15) and, i am good at math, well only the best in both our class and our school. i have had beaten 5 of my teachers(who are best in math) in math. i do modeling as well. though i have lots of time to program and model, i get bored sometimes so i just play other computer games... I am from the Philippines!... i can be a good programmer for your team but, i have one problem, i dont have any credit card, paypal card or what so ever, so that means that i cant join you for i dont have any card, so what can we do to aid this conflict and make me join your team, and BTW, i wont get bored anymore for i will be working for money, that will help me do what im must...

and what engine are you using?
