Greetings mod gods

Myself & several others are attempting to create quite possibly the biggest mod ever made for Jedi Outcast.There are several skilled people in our group that can create models and textures with ease. However, we need at least a couple skilled JKII modders to handle the coding.

I strongly doubt that any of you have seen the movie Equilibrium, & if not I suggest you watch it as it is the best action/scifi movie to come out in awhile. In the movie, the characters use a gun fighting style similar to Devil May Cry. We hope to incorporate new coding into Outcast that will allow for this.

Our goal is that every so often, the players can use a special move. When a certain button is pushed, the view will switch from 3rd. person to an overhead view for 2 to 3 seconds. During these seconds, the action will freeze and the player would rapidly click on every enemy in view from overhead. At the end of the 2 to 3 seconds, action would resume and show the player shooting every enemy clicked on in a slow motion cinamatic view like that used for the light saber kills. You much watch the movie to understand how the player would go about the shooting.

You can't "pause" Q3A-based games without modifying engine code to be supporting pause sequences, so this would be impossible.

what if it just slowed way down instead of freezing? slow like force speed.

you might be able to slow... not sure how much beyond the max force speed level you would be able to slow though

Yes, you can "Pause", and it has been done for Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy, but you need to edit, or create another force power (Preferably Force Speed, and you edit the ammount you want it to slow down, which is where you can make it so no one can move, but making bullets go slower, I dont know. They might end up pausing with the players.

Anyways, yes, it is possible.
