Hello Everyone,

I've never developed a game before but I've wanted to since I was very young. The last few years I've been working on a simple tile based PC RPG with the hopes to create something that recaptures the heart and nostalgia of classics such as the Final Fantasy series on SNES. I'm 33, have a full time job and am pursuing this as more of a hobby with a focus on polish and quality with no deadlines. I'm not necessarily looking to break into the industry and my priorities aren't to simply make money, but if we take this project to completion I'm confident that it has the potential for monetary return. I've already created the bulk of the graphical assets and have written the story. I'm looking for a coder that might be interested in helping me get it off the ground. I want to keep the team as small as possible as well; aside from myself (artist/writer), and someone to create music and sound FX (position filled) we just need a single coder.

The story is rich and I'd like to spend time writing good dialogue in order to deliver an experience that develops the characters' personalities. Graphically I'm shooting for, of course, crunchy and pixelated but also clean and refined (or at least as clean and refined as I can make them; I'm an amateur after all...). See the attached samples. The vast majority of the graphics have been done in MS Paint (haha!) with some touch up within Paint.net and GIMP.

I'd like to retain creative control over the project but that doesn't mean I'm not open to suggestion. There are probably a few plot holes I'm overlooking within the story and some feedback would be very much welcome.

Anyway, thanks for checking out my post! hope to hear from you!
