Problem Uploading Video to gallery through URL Thread

Hi, I was having a problem uploading a video to my gallery. I already uploaded the video in youtube now just wanted to link it through URL. The problem is that every time I try that it keeps on telling me that "Your upload request has failed. Please check the URL is correct and links directly to the file you want to upload. Links to webpages or redirects will NOT work. This is the exact error: The upload from the URL specified could not be started". I tried to upload it from Maxthon and Google Chrome but I keep on getting the same problem. Any help to solve this will be much appreciated.

my game is currently awaiting authorization so is that the cause as to why no video is being uploaded to the game profile?

Is there no way that I can upload a video? I tried via the URL upload, didn't work. I also tried via PC upload still didn't work. The problem with the PC upload is that it takes forever to upload that is if it is being uploaded. The video I am trying to upload took 1 hour to upload in youtube but it takes 5-6 hours to upload in desura and once it says that "Upload is completed" then I press save and get an error saying that no file was uploaded. During the upload process it is difficult to tell if the video is being uploaded because there are no bars or anything like that which specifies the upload process is being done. I need at least one video to publish my game and this is turning into a problem.

I often have the same problem, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. However, I don't think that it really bothers, because if you're the real owner of the video, you should have it on your computer. That's really all I can say to that, sorry

Same here. Exact same issue as deadlykam... Will try another time I guess.

The download is shown down the bottom left in the status bar, it will tick along till 100%.
You should be able to add YT vids via url, the system is working i just added one, right click the YT video, then select copy url.

Then paste it into the url upload textbox and click upload, the small bar underneath will progress and then just give 10 -15 min to process and should be all good to go.

I am very impressed with how quickly your helpful reply was posted! It turns out you just have to continue to attempt the upload and then after a few tries, it worked for me. Sometimes it just gives you a message that your upload has failed, but if you keep posting the url repeatedly it will work eventually. Glad it's resolved. Thanks TKAzA!
