hey guys, PSO IV *4 to those who aren't roman* is almost coming out for the beautiful PC!!! Its called Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst

It has the same features as the other PSO 1&2 versions but has some slight changes.

- Textures redone
- New practically everything
- Saving is Server Side
- GameMasters and Staff have special characters
- If hacking is found out, a patch can be released and they can ban the accounts

Check out this before and after from the GC version to PC.

lol like a £5 a month or so, you could ask your parents for like £1.50 pocket money a week if you did a little house work.

Apparently theres gonna be a free download to let you get to lvl20 and thats it.

But for a hardcore PSO fan as myself, i'll be playing for more stupid hours.

*cough* Guild Wars *cough*

I am a huge fan of PSO. I loved spending so much time and energy on really building up my character and increasing his stats. I had this HUmar on PSO Ep. 1 and 2 on the Xbox, and I got him to level 178 with 1040 str, and about 800 everything else. It was a lot of fun to join games and help people out, not to mention, every single boss was so awesome, especially Dark Falz. Facing him on Ultimate difficulty and playing through his final form was a great experience. Not too long ago, however, my Xbox got wiped out because one of my brothers accidentally dropped it when he was trying to carry it from his car in the garage to the living room, and it was on a fresh coat of inch-thick ice on concrete. I got a new Xbox, though, and I have a character on level 20 (?) and I'm still having plenty of fun :)

Yes, Darkcyde, telling from this quote from jian, I do presume it is Blue Burst :P

I'm going to get it most definitely. I would really like to have it on my PC so I can play it whenever I want :)

yea, tis Blue Burst, the beta is coming out for JP and theyre being wiped again after, so we all get a fresh start.

itll be brilliant, Region free, so you could actually get JP version but it would be ALL JP, no cracks to change it or Sonic Team ban your ass :)

I'm waiting for US version and im on, for the time being I bought PSO3 so i'll just play that :)

Yeah, I have PSO3 as well. It's a very different experience, using cards instead of your basic action experience, so it's something you really have to get used to. I don't really mind, but I rarely play it. I'm too into my Xbox game to change back to that one :)

im all GC, i enjoy card games too.

but im really glad this PC version is coming, easy patches to update the game to rid of hacks, GMs and staff who take down cheaters and anyone abusive.

Online is gonna be awesome, and plus the fact the servers save the info, I dont get corrupted files which delete 400hrs worth of PSOin!

YEY!

Well, it has its own brand of a learning curve, but it's kind of neat when you can set up combos together to really tear an enemy apart. I just find it a lot better with interactive, action-adventure elements thrown on top of it. If you could run about a place and get into, say, event battles around the different areas, I might be a little more happier with the game.

As it stands, I like PSO 1 and 2 more than 3 :)

Lol, that's almost the same thing you said about Ragnarok Online 2. We'll wait until both come out and see what the real verdict is :rambo:

Just become and cat, and then you have 9 MMORPGs to play! Sounds interesting, and the pic gives me the idea of a cyber punk themed game. Am I right? If not, whats the story and theme behind it?

Goo, the story for PSO hasnt really been very strong with what you actually do in the game.

Earth has been destroyed and a voyage of people were set off in Pioneer 1 *a ship* to a planet called Ragol, they had settled at ragol until 7 yrs later *i think* Pioneer 2 came with the rest of the earth people.

They tried to establish a connection to send people down until a big explosion happened and lost connection.

Everyone on ragol had vanished.

You are a character *that you create personally* and the captain of pioneer 2 wants you to find his daughter, red ring rico, but in the game you DON'T actually do anything to actually find her except go through the game.

You can goto the Hunters guild for quests *extra money*.

but the best bit is ONLINE!, you can do so much i can't explain it all. but it is fantastic, i wish i had it now and i'd not come off it for AGES

Yes it captures all the fun of an MMORPG through PSO. Not to mention, with both an Offline and Online mode, you can build your character offline and then go online to create your own society. Not to mention, it's fun trading items and weapons with characters, and the rich, colorful designs and particles and characters really bring you in. I also really like the different places you can go to, from a beach to a forest to a mine... it's all good :)
