Today finaly we got our mod accepted here in modDB and we now like to get some help.

the starting plot.
During first decade of 21st sentury USA and European Union have been unable to solve their differences and ultimately to help russia to silence tsetsenia and other minorities of kaukasus region their independence demandings. Situation led to point that tsetsena declared it's independence 13th May 2008 and russia had no other choices but recognize it. Encouraged by this of tsesenia other minorities in same area declared for independet as well. Soon these newly indepndet countries form union kaukasus countries. And invited geologies to make repport of possible resourses in their soil. Result shocked western countries since geologies founded enermous oil field what as estamated to form 30% of world's oil reserves after that.These countries become in next 5 years quite noticeable from other countries. Unfortunately these new countries were belived to assist Al-Qaeda terrorist organisation. Which executed set of coordinated strikes against EU UAC and USA.
These strikes crippled govermental system of some countries and forced these countires to form military based govermental system and restrict movement.
Countries of European Union USA and Union of asian countries (UAC) had little choise but join effords to hunt down entire al-qaeda network and ultimately after that help russia to reoccupy these new countries as they have become as threat to rest of world.

I don't demmand so high skill, but I hope that all memebers who will join will makes best they can and maybe improves it a bit.

you need 3d modelers, skinners, mappers etc. but what can YOU offer to the team as the leader?

Hey, you throw pretty though question to start.
Well inluding mod team leader's normal responsibilities I also make maps as time permits. Keep webpage up. And make definetly make sure that there is no needles S**t between team members. So generally I make what ever needed to keep this mod developing.
And if someone screws something he is always responsible to me.
So i wish new members to welcome, but remind that I demand good behaviour. PS. Jokes are always welcome, but makesure I understand your sense of humor before committing a joke.

It seems that pepole here thinks that I am making another bored CS clone.
The mod idea would rather be "special counter terrorism operations"
So here is my idea for one mission or map.

Cruise ship.

Terrorist goal:
ijack cruise ship and rig it with explosives without causing CT's to be suspicios. And manage to escape with helicopter

Counter-terrorist:
Board ship as normal passangers, intendify locate and aprehend terrorists and locate terrorist's cabin also get some clue where terrorist have intedt to rig bombs.

yeah, well I played a lot of CS, but when "the teen invasion" met it's height I stoped playing CS, for one really simple reason: Playing was sometimes like facing huge group of whining and just rushing idiots (TEENS MOSTLY) just because they really couldn't do anything. EG. many players DIDN't USE microphone to communication or muted those who had. And almost always only tactic was "hard rush" yeah it worked in map like "DE_DUST" where terrorists were able easily to win, IF they would have enough firepower to get bombsite B (not CT respawn) and plant bomb on top of crates (needed to be boosted to get there).
But then one day, I just got enought of CS teens. And reinstalled Red Faction and voila. Got permanently addicted because It has really hardcore engine, and many features inside and really easy to mod, when figures the "ideology" and level editor better most of I have used.

One day I just noteced that I miss counter terrorism war. But after release of steam. I haven't installed HL nor CS because my current computer can run them. ANd I am quite totaly pissed to whining CS teens.

So this mod would really be more than CT vs T in enviroment without civilians (not including hostages) and A lot more goals than just planting the bomb and getting out of blast zone.

And finaly I find this fact to be true in games like CS:
NO PROPER TRAINING AND OUTCOME LOOKS LIKE IT.

PS. Help me to make this and we may get real chalenger to CS.

Yeah, dead what dead, I am sorry, but hey WHO forbids to make this as it would be and give some credit to them too.

Wait... so you're not making a CS clone, but one of your maps/missions involves the terrorists planting a bomb while the CT's have to difuse it?

Anyways, so, are they going to try and be sneaky about this, like mix in within the crowd and try to not have the CT's spot them while the CT's do the same or will there be lots of gun fighting?

Also, out of curiousity, what engine will this use and this is multiplayer I'm assuming?

Yes well exactly this mod conept will be: WAR AGAINST TERRORISM.

And this will be SINGLE//MULTIPLAYER and I have intend that mod is made to Red Faction. few reasons. 1) RF has some really neat features which are not available in every game (GEO-MOD EG.) 2) mappers DO not need to panic about "f***ng" leak problems. And Fialy Engine supports wide natural aras as well as close quareds buildings.

And there is "minor" update to story which would be nice to be multiplayer where players can be good or bad guys, because "some of us" get satisfaction to their dark side by doning EVERYTHING illegal in videogames, which is quite good way. And I belong to that group.

reserves. As soon gathered intel data revealed (UKC) indirectly suprtely several terrorist groups among which was
also al-qaeda. This information came bit too late as these terrorist groups managed to make several supprise attacks and
damage some countries govermental system. In among these damaged goverments was European Union's federal goverment. and
USA gonress which both got only small damages. And some asian countries goverments. USA EU and UoAEC were in situation that
they HAD no other choice than creating new super alliance and start to hunt down these terrorist groups. This blow war
against terrorsm wider than ever before. From Recomendation of UoAEC both USA and EU came to conclusion that human rights
organisation AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL was quilty as hell that there was not sentence of death in EU and decalred these
organisations ILLEGAL and all memebers to be charegd from terrorism. Also EU and USA started on quick schelude to execute
know low level terrorists they have prisoned.

Training

Part one: Operation Black Sun Rising.

The new alliance. must now prevent AL-qaeda and other terrorist groups from executing more terroris attacks in their
countries. While make counter operations and gather intel data and bring key suspect into custody. After new alliance
has sufficent data, they must hunt down all most of terrorists. In order they can start to conquer operation these
hostile countries.

Part two a.

The conquer of these hostile countries is about to begin. Before starting real military operation Alliance must gather as
good intel data about enemy locations as possible.

Part two b.

The conquer operation of these hostile countries has begun and now alliance is against maybe the hardest war ever. Since
these new countries has aquired quikly good profits from oil salary so they also have good technology.

Also I belive that I would be cute to include "electoric warfare" as you would be able to hack hostile computers and that way get some intel data.

SO pepole help me to do this mod.

Great tha someone is interested, but I am still looking someone who has skill to use 3d stduio max and charcter studio. I am currently working "practicial problem solutions" to have skill to make few new maps, so I would really like to get someone to help me with this mod so we would be able to make first alpha and release some "awesome" pictures.
Also I would be really pleased if we get graphics artist to make some new textures and some graphics to website. But Let me guess nobody bothers to help

Anyway I am going to release images of first map asasp when it's ready, and It sould be within 2 weeks.

Oh well this thread seems to me "dead" so decided to post here something.

I am going to make 2 playable levels and Promotion level to my mod, and would like that I get modeler to make evev few new weapons.

The schemes for maps

PR map: cruising ship which ill eventually sink and kill all onboard who can't escape.

I am not really sure for ideas of playable map, but I quess that I will figure it out while doing PR map.

Hmm this silent on this front because I have been playing Diablo 2 and a bit lacked ideas.

How ever I have now most of hardware for our webserver which will contain webpage and some other, and I am inteding to get at least one decited server to mod when we release first internal alpha, and call betatesters.

However minor update to game concept.

story will be divided atleast to 2 parts.
1: The counter-terrorism operations
2: The conquest operation.

so mod will be qutie much war related, but only this time on war against terrorism.

Also here is list of open positions in out team:
Weapon modeler; Player modeler; Vehicle modeler; Sound artist; GFX artist; mapper; and Coder. Coder we need to be very skilled because we do not know for sure how volition assists us if at all.
