News posts Thread

It seems like every other post I try to put on Moddb doesn't show up on the main page. Ever. It does show up in my mod profile, however.

Any reason why this might be happening?

This is what's placed into every page where you try to post your news:

IMPORTANT
Only news deemed of a quality standard will be shown on the main page. It could be rejected for any of the following common reasons:

-HTML / Formatting Mistakes
-Spelling Errors
-Large images (over 15k in size)
-Inappropriate content
-Help wanted requests
-Too short
-Too long / too dominating
-Irrelevant news (i.e. we have forums)
-Contains invalid links

If you don't meet these requirements, your news posts won't be placed onto the main page. Plain and simple.

I do meet those requirements. I always check my spelling and formatting, never have inappropriate content or irrelevant news or invalid links, I always check my links, and it's definitely not too long. Maybe it was considered too short...

Bug fixed - v1.2b released!

After being informed of a bug concerning the fiends in IQ v1.2, I promptly fixed the bug so that Fiends will actually attack you, and now Improved Quake v1.2b is available for download!

I see news like that authed all over moddb, don't excuse it because it's a Quake mod

Your news is too short, add a bit more detail and depth to it (For example on the release ones, include a couple of screenshots, and description of the mod etc), and I'm sure it'll get authed.
