Hi all, We currently have a team of 15 people split into 5 groups (writing, art, level design, programming and sound) currently designing and testing the early stages of a new full game project based on the Star Trek universe. Our project plan accounts for a 18 month production cycle with leniant deadlines, however progress reviews will be held at the end of each month. The game is themed as a 1st episode in a new TV series, and will last inbetween 1-2 hours. The project plan also accomodates for more episodes to be created in the future in a much shorter time frame by building a reusable base during this first game. We are currently looking for: At least 1 dedicated sound team member to join our music producer. 2 Experienced level designers in the UDK to take the level design team to 4 members. (1 member will be asked to work with one of our Artists to focus on recreating a small number of memorable Star Trek locations such as the bridge of the Enterprise D, for use within the holodecks) Our art team currently stands at 5, but more help would be ideal for our lone character creator. The writing and programming teams are now considered ready, although if you are interested in working in either field then please still get in touch. The project is only just getting off the ground, but has a forum and a google site just for team members which is being updated regularly. We plan to start making the game public and getting a site online by the end of September (earlier if we feel we have enough material to generate instant interest). Obviously i cant say too much on story yet or the writers may shoot me! I can say it is set in the not-too-distant future of the existing treks, and will involve a brand new ship and new crew of which the player will be an ensign. As for WIP screens, we have a steady flow of concept art coming in but nothing other than tests in the engine. As I said in the above post we plan to go public with it in September - giving us 2 months to get enough material to draw in potential players and update regularly from there on. As for website designer, we dont need one until then - but if you would be interested in helping out its one less person for me to try and recruit later! |

Hi, I would be interested in the sound team member. What would the responsibilities be? I'm fine with anything actually involving sound, however, I cannot do audio programming. Thanks for your time! |

PM'd^^ We recently lost an Art Team member due to illness, and are now looking for a replacement. Concept Art & 3d Asset building are the main requirements, but anything extra will be a bonus. |
