MXC Thread

Everyone should know what MXC is. That show it one of the most funnyest shows ever on spike tv. basically its a japanese-produced game show that has contestants (2 teams ) do outragous stunts. there should be a mxc mod, i g2g tlak about it later

err one problem not every one gets Spike TV. . .

A gameshow mod....really interesting concept. You'd need like a professional comedian, though, unless you can really come up with witty sayings about each person. Maybe have background commentary!

ah man i saw that show 3 years ago in germany. I couldnt understand any of the german, but man i got that show!

There would be 2 teams, maybe even for, but for now, Red and Blue. People join the server and join a team, u can join in while an event is taking place, so they will have to spec. Each event is in a different level by itself (will include custom events). when the round starts, 1 person from each team will give a go at the event. first a play from red, then from blue. if you get eliminated in the event, u get negative points. if u finish the event under 30 seconds, u get alot of pts, under 1min u get less, under 1:30 mins, evern lesser, you get the picture. whoever has the most points when everyone finishes at the end of the round wins and the game either restarts or changes events (server choice). most events will just have a start and finish entity to make things easy, and a bounds u have to stay in, if you go out of those bounds (i.e. fall) you are eliminated and get negative points which hurts your team score. if the mod were to be made we could have commentary in game (commentary will play when people get elliminated). you would be able to make up your own events. some events dont require for people to go 1 at a time, rather all at once. thats all!

i already said that if u read the post thoroughly. it will include cusotm events (maps) made by the team and u can make your own events(maps).

I get MXC funny ass show, Gi Fontino (or however his name is spelled)

MXC is my most favoritest show. I hope someone gets around to doing it, although it sounds pretty difficult to code. People grabbing onto robes and swinging, climbing up barricades, knocking through doors, jumping on rolling cylinders, running through obstacle courses, avoiding rocks.... but it doesn't sound possible, and I wish the best of luck to anyone whose going to attempt such a feat, because it might become one of the most popular mods out there, if done right.

The difficult part is finding an engine that has the right setup... In all honesty, the show has always looked like a real-life Mario Brothers Spoof.

The only game I've ever modded is StarCraft, but I'm really motivated to get into UT2k4 modding, so let me know if you want to put a team together or something.

Well, you could always try an indie engine, like Torque. You get the same good graphics like Tribes 2, and it comes with most of the C++ coding. All you really need for the programming is a coder that has knowledge of C-.
